Dr. Katie Meier is leading the team at our Austin — Northwest and Austin — Shoal Creek locations.
Dr. Meier graduated from the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, completed an internship at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Residency in Cardiology at the University of Pennsylvania Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital.
In a career spanning over 2 decades, she is proud of helping innumerable animals with cardiac disease and giving pet owners hope through information when they arrive worried about their beloved cat or dog (or horse on occasion!). Each day in the clinic brings new challenges and problem solving, which is what makes the practice of cardiology continually exciting for her.
Providing a definitive diagnosis, comprehensive treatment plan and continuing cardiac care for patients is her privilege, whether dealing with acquired or congenital disease, arrhythmias or congestive heart failure.
A long time Austin resident, when not listening for murmurs and arrhythmias, Dr. Meier enjoys spending time with her family, especially on area lakes while wake surfing.
