Starting July 29th, Dr. Whitney will be leading the team at our Fairfax, VA location.
Leah received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Appalachian State University in 2017 and then went on to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2022. She completed her rotating internship at VCA SouthPaws, in Fairfax VA, and will continue onto her cardiology residency with CVCA in the same location. Her cardiology interests include feline cardiomyopathies, pulmonary hypertension and congenital cardiac malformations.
Leah is originally from North Carolina but has enjoyed living in the Northern Virginia area and exploring all it has to offer alongside her fiancee and their dog. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling with family and friends but also loves the little pleasures of enjoying a cup of coffee and nice book or watching the Great British Baking Show.
